Skild AI, an innovative startup founded by former Carnegie Mellon University professors Abhinav Gupta and Deepak Pathak, is at the forefront of this revolution. With a $300 million investment from Jeff Bezos and Softbank, Skild AI is developing the Robot Brain - a general-purpose AI model aimed at powering a new generation of robots. These robots will be capable of performing complex tasks across various environments.

This represents a “GPT-3 moment” in AI and robotics. Unlike traditional industrial robots programmed for specific, repetitive tasks, Skild AI’s Robot Brain offers flexibility for a wide range of activities, from navigating difficult terrains to dexterous object manipulation in household and industrial settings.
